Washington's Sidney Jones injures left leg in workouts

Unfortunately, Jones went down with a reported leg injury during a pro day at the University of Washington. 2017 NFL Draft cornerback prospect Sidney Jones reportedly suffered an Achilles injury, according to Yahoo's Eric Edholm.

Reports say that Jones fell to the ground during a back pedal drill and had to be helped off the field. The projected first-round draft pick had an air cast placed on his left leg as he was taken out of the practice facility. The Huskies defensive back suffered a lower leg injury that could possibly be significant.

He was a three-year starter and two-time captain for a Huskies defense that had a great year en route to being one of four teams to make the College Football Playoff. Any nerve damage could push him even further down draft boards.
