NFL Free Agency rumors: Mark Sanchez signing with the Chicago Bears

Connor Shaw, who spent his first two seasons with the Browns before joining the Bears past year, is the only other quarterback on the roster.

There isn't much demand for Mark Sanchez these days, but he's still generating interest as a backup.

But, there's no way in Hell the Bears are passing on a quarterback in the 2017 NFL Draft. Sanchez can at least push Glennon to be better as a starter, as well as help in the quarterback room.

After his five-year run with the Jets ended in 2013, he spent the next two seasons with the Eagles, starting 10 games.

The Bears made things official Friday morning, announcing the signing of free-agent quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Mike Glennon will be the Bears' starting quarterback for the 2017. He's started 72 games in total and had his most successful seasons with the New York Jets after being selected in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Jay Cutler was released by the Bears and hasn't found a new team just yet. Posting a 3-13 record during the 2016 National Football League season didn't help matters, especially as the team managed to only score 279 total points for the year.

The Chicago Bears apparently have figured out their quarterback depth chart for the offseason, and boy is it something.

Chicago might have considered looking for a quarterback at No. 3 in the 2017 NFL Draft.
