Ms. Pac-Man Fully Playable in Google Maps Right Now

This year, it's Ms. Pac-Man.

"Starting now until April 4, you can chomp fruit, avoid ghosts, and collect PAC-Dots along city streets in Google Maps worldwide", wrote Ms Pac-Maps product manager David Hendon in a blog post.

The promotion is available on Maps for Android, iOS, and desktop.

The Android version takes you automatically to a certain section of the map, transforming into the screen into the familiar black background and maze set-up of the arcade game. Just load up the app or webpage to turn any locale in to a full-blown, playable Ms. Pac-Man map.

Google actually did something similar with Pac-Man back in 2015. This is yet another classic example of how Google celebrates April Fool's Day, not to mention their great love for video games. It will then evaluate the map and redesign it into a level from the game. You should also keep in mind that you will get 5 lives before you lose. Those who wish to demonstrate their Pac-Man prowess can share their score via social media.

Of course, in this version of the game, it's impossible to sort easily preict and memorize where to go and when ― because there's a virtually endless number of different maps to play on.

In the bottom left-hand corner - where users are given the option to switch to satellite images - Google has added a button to launch Ms Pac-Man. For now, you can kill some time in the classroom or office by opening up Google Maps and playing a few rounds of Ms. Pac-Man.

April Fool's Day isn't until tomorrow, but many companies are already cashing in on the festivities on the last work day of the week.
