Chelsea Clinton: I'm Not the Person to Defeat Trump

"But right now she's very clear: One of those TBDs is not running for office".

"I don't think so, not right now", Clinton said in an interview with CBS "This Morning" when asked if her mother intends to run for public office again. When asked if the former presidential candidate would run again in the future, her daughter responded, "I don't think so".

Here I thought the one thing that could save Democrats from electoral irrelevance was putting forward a different, more unqualified Clinton. But I think we all need to be asking ourselves that question periodically, ' she added. "I don't think so", she said.

As for her mother, Clinton thinks she will continue to stand up for causes she believes in by making speeches and encouraging young people to consider political careers. She's focused on what she can do to support work she's been engaged in for longer than I've been alive: Around children, around women, around families.

The conversation turned to politics after King asked Clinton if anyone else in her household is running for office. "I just am really grateful to have more time with her now than I've had in a long time". She said, "I hope that politics is in all of our DNA". During a St. Patrick's Day speech in March, Hillary Clinton said she is "ready to come out of the woods", spurring speculation about her future.

Chelsea Clinton has some kind words for her (former?) friend Ivanka Trump.

Clinton was also asked if Russian Federation should be blamed for her mother's loss to in a race she was projected to win by the majority of mainstream media outlets but ended up losing the electoral college to now-President Donald Trump.

"Are you kidding me?" "I hope they're enjoying their new home in Washington", Clinton said.
