Liverpool Forward Sadio Mane All Set To Go Under Knife

Liverpool striker Sadio Mane has undergone a successful surgery on his knee in London on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 and was forced to walk with crutches after the surgical operation.

The Senegal global suffered the injury during the Merseyside derby earlier this month, and has since been absent with Jurgen Klopp confirming the worst last week.

He is expected to be side-lined up eight weeks, which at least means he will return for the start of Liverpool's pre-season campaign, which begins in July.

Mane told Liverpoolfc.com: "It's great that I have received so many encouraging messages from fans around the world, particularly on social media. I'd like to say thank you to everyone".

Severe weather threat leads to early school dismissals
A later threat timeframe would mean a higher risk of severe storms , but an earlier arrival would mean a weakened severe threat. Round three is expected to come in the evening with storms developing through 9 p.m.

Losing Mane for the remainder of the campaign was a cruel blow for Liverpool, with the Senegal worldwide having made a tremendous impact since his switch from Southampton.

As well as being their top scorer with 13 goals this term, he seems to have a galvanising effect on his team-mates.

All-in-all, the hope is that Mane recovers fully and swiftly from his untimely setback as the former Southampton man certainly established himself as one of the most exciting players in the Premier League this season.

Until their hard-fought 2-1 win at Stoke last Saturday, Liverpool had not won in the four games in which Mane was absent.
