Apple iPhone 8 may face two-month delay

Apple is rumoured to be working three new iPhones, but at least one of them might not be ready to ship in time.

Kuo claims that the one-month to two-month delay for the mass production of the iPhone 8 will have a negative impact on the sales of Apple for the 2017 calendar year. The world's most valuable tech company is apparently having a pilot study of the dual-lenses for the selfie shooter, an upgrade from the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which have single camera sensor.

A couple of weeks ago, we first began hearing reports from analysts claiming that Apple's upcoming OLED iPhone would be delayed due to issues with production.

The Apple iPhone 8, which could also be called the iPhone Edition - and actually be released as a third model with the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus - has appeared. This is good news for Apple since it shows that iPhone users are plentiful in the market.

Samsung Display is expected to start the production and shipments of OLED panels for the iPhone 8 without any delays, according to The Bell. If Apple isn't beginning mass production on the iPhone 8 until October or November, they'll nearly certainly be hard to come by until early 2018. In that case, potential contribution starting late-2Q17 from OLED iPhone could be partially delayed by 3-6 months for related suppliers.

Finally, the mentioned mockup does not incorporate a Touch ID sensor at the front which further strengthens rumors that the Cupertino giant is strongly considering embedding such a desirable feature within the display screen of the next flagship iPhone model. There's glass on the front and back with a shiny stainless steel frame.

The latest to join the fray is noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who was slightly more explicit than others. The new iPhone won't have its standard physical home button as well. However, a recently surfaced piece of information might disappoint many Apple fans as the iPhone 8 might get delayed by several months. This feature is also expected to be integrated into the display.

In March, Digitimes said that problems with the iPhone 8's integrated fingerprint ID technology could delay the handset's launch. We've heard this rumour before that Apple has been testing an iPhone with such design.
