Trump again suggests ending White House briefings, won't commit to Spicer

May 14, 2017, 02:24

Asked by Fox News' Jeanine Pirro if the pace of his actions was to blame for the White House communication staff's difficulties - which, this week, included offering contrasting accounts surrounding the firing of FBI Director James Comey - Trump agreed.

If any such tapes exist, the problem is that, because of suspected collusion between WikiLeaks and the Kremlin, the tapes may never be heard - at least not on this side of the Atlantic.

He learned of the news while speaking with Federal Bureau of Investigation employees in Los Angeles, as headlines flashed across the TV screen that Trump had let him go; Comey reportedly thought it was an elaborate prank.

Critics saw the taunt as a threat to Comey to keep his mouth shut about what was discussed. Sanders commented at the press briefing May 11 that Trump fired Comey based on a recommendation from the Justice Department, but Trump contradicted this in an interview later that day when he said it had been his decision. Andrew McCabe, Comey's standing successor, said the bureau would halt any further updates to the White House on the status of the inquiry.

Sanders also said that she does not think Comey's firing will have any affect on the ongoing investigations.

Spicer had been drawn outside in the first place for television damage control - Comey's forced departure from the Federal Bureau of Investigation was reportedly more controversial than the White House had anticipated. Pirro then asked what could be done to rectify the inaccuracies presented to the press.

Yet, to get the document passed, President Donald Trump had to make concessions to the Democrats. Aides to politicians involved in the talks announced the agreement after weeks of negotiations.

"Unless I have them every two weeks and do it myself, we won't have them". So it is through imagination that one must picture the late-night presser and the sheer weirdness of the entire event unfolding.

That led Trump to tweet, 'As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with flawless accuracy'.

I want to say this is a new low for Spicer, but...he's just had so many blunders that I don't know if that's even true. She said Trump would "never even suggest the expectation of personal loyalty".

"Sarah Huckabee is a lovely young woman", he told Pirro.

Describing himself as a very active President, Trump explained that at time it become very hard for his surrogates to explain things with ideal accuracy to reporters at the news conference. "They really don't. I'm not saying that in a bragging way".
