Fans in focus at major E3 video game trade show

E3 well and truly kicks off tonight, with EA opening proceedings with their special EA Play event. We still don't know much about how the game will play, but this glimpse should be enough to get Need for Speed fan excited. There's something about Electronic Arts wanting to have their own show - yet ride on the coat tails of E3 proper - that still sits slightly uneasily with me. EA has responded to player feedback concerning the first game and that was addressed during the briefing hosted by actress Janina Gavankar.

We haven't seen much of A Way Out since the 2014 Game Awards, while Project Dylan is going to be EA's big finish for this year's show. That said, every game demoed well, and the promised refinements to existing franchises are to be welcomed. A Way Out is the spiritual successor, and while it looks like a more adult narrative, it also stars two characters who have to work together. A full recap and several trailers are listed below. Titled Madden NFL 18 Longshot, the game will incorporate a new, cinematic story mode following the career of high school quarterback Devin Wade. Also announced was that new night versions of maps now available in Battlefield 1 will be released throughout June and July.

In the Name of the Tsar DLC to feature the Eastern Front. This Russia-themed pack will include six maps, 11 new weapons and a new mode called Supply Drop. Alex Hunter also returns for a new Journey.

The previously announced the game includes fast and furious heist missions, hot pursuits, and auto battles.

Wide-ranging vehicle customisation features let you upgrade a auto from the scrap heap to super auto status. On the docket is a trailer for the game A Way Out by Hazelight Studios, a teaser of Madden 18 running on Microsoft's Project Scorpio, along with a 45-second trailer for Project Dylan.

Due for release in early 2018.

Renewable energy expected to continue growth, despite Trump
In it the US had agreed to reduce its emissions by 26 percent by 2025 when compared to levels in 2005 - about 1.6 billion tons. The executive order also rescinded a number of executive actions aimed at reining in climate change or mitigating its effects.

Full gameplay to be revealed at Sunday's Xbox press conference. This year's entry will introduce a new mode called The One that will allow players to create a custom player and gain points as they play.

Free demo coming in August featuring solo, co-op and multiplayer modes. The expansion will be released this September.

The big news at the conference was Star Wars Battlefront II.

In-game Battlepoints can be spent on items, vehicles and becoming a Hero. My pre-ordering finger started sweating.

Keeping up with their sports franchises, EA also reintroduced player Alex Hunter in Federation Internationale de Football Association 18's new storyline. In this mode you can choose to play the Streets, which will see you playing five-on-five games on real-world courts such as Venice Beach.
