Surprise! Lonzo Ball releases Lakers-inspired ZO2 shoes

He said that he knew his son would be drafted to the Lakers almost 20 years ago, and that he's going to bring the L.A. boys back to the Playoffs in his first year on the team.

"He's his own man, so I don't know what he's going to do", Lonzo Ball said, with a smile visible through the phone, when asked if Lavar Ball would tone done his outspoken behavior now that his eldest son had made it to the Lakers. "If I can come halfway short, you know it'll be good".

If you thought LaVar Ball wouldn't act up on Draft Night, you thought wrong.

LaVar loves the spotlight, and he's content to play both the popular guy with the masses and the villain soaking up the boos. "Right now, I'm hoping (Lonzo) leads us to a couple summer league victories, and we'll take it from there".

Pakistan thrash England in Champions Trophy semi-final
The star with the ball was once again pacer Hasan Ali, who ended up with a three wicket-haul for the third time in as many games. In those situations, well-laid plans can quickly go out of the window, which is part of the reason why the game sped away.

In the latest Los Angeles Lakers news, head coach Luke Walton wants LaVar Ball to slow down.

Thanks to their pre-draft trade of guard D'Angelo Russell and center Timofey Mozgov to the Brooklyn Nets, the Lakers have a ton of cap space and flexibility in being able to lure-and hopefully land Palmdale-born product in Paul George, now of the Indiana Pacers.

Don't like Lonzo Ball (or maybe it really has to do with his loud, attention-seeking dad LaVar)?

The Lakers added Lonzo Ball out of UCLA, Kyle Kuzma out of Utah, Josh Hart from Villanova and Thomas Bryant from Indiana. To make matters more interesting, he will learn under the guidance of Johnson, arguably the greatest point guard in National Basketball Association history. He was the conference's first player to average 14 points, six rebounds and seven assists per game since Kidd did it at California. Even before the draft, the 48-year-old has been making controversial comments that were criticized by many. Just everything he's going to teach me is going to be useful.
