Andy Murray spotted struggling during Friday's practice

As the defending champion, Murray is due to open the 2017 Championships at Wimbledon with a match on Centre Court on Monday.

He will have played just that match on grass when he begins his Wimbledon campaign on Monday.

Andy Murray's sore hip is the latest in a string of health and injury problems the Scot has faced since becoming world number one last November.

"Not at all. Unlike before Paris, he is hitting the ball really well".

"We'll see what the weather is like", Lendl said Thursday, per the Daily Mail's Matt Dickson. "I'm midway through my practice".

Granted, Murray only participated in the AEGON Championships a year ago between the French Open and winning his second Wimbledon title, but he went on to win at the Queen's Club, an omen for what was to come at the All England Club.

Murray, who last played at Hurlingham in 2014, was supposed to take on France's Lucas Pouille at the Aspall Tennis Classic but pulled out after experiencing soreness in his hip.

Nonetheless, at the back of Murray's mind will be what happened at the Queen's Club at the start of last week, when he lost in straight sets to Jordan Thompson, the World No 90.

French Open semi-finalist Murray was the favourite to win the Aegon Championships, which finished on Sunday, and win a third successive Queen's Club crown but crashed at the first hurdle.

However, his coach Lendl insists he is "not at all" anxious about the injury and has been pleased by Murray's preparations for Wimbledon. I thought past year was more hard because in two weeks we didn't finish one practice on our own terms, we were always chased off by the rain.
