Kanye West Reportedly Leaves Tidal Over Financial Dispute

The fight stemmed after Kanye's Saint Pablo album brought in more than 1 million new subscribers to Tidal - which he was supposed to receive a bonus for.

However, Tidal claims West did not give them the music videos he promised, to which West allegedly responded he would provide the videos once the money had been paid.

Kanye allegedly made the decision to walk away from Tidal about a month ago, when his lawyers sent a letter to the company claiming that his contract had been breached and therefore, terminated.

Lawyers on both sides have tried to reach an agreement over the last few weeks, but to no avail. TMZ also reported Tidal sent a letter to West threatening a lawsuit if he attempts to join another streaming music service.

Hollywoodlife.com reports that Kanye is getting ready to clap back at Jay-Z with his own revenge track. In November, while on stage in California, Kanye called out JAY-Z, saying, "Jay-Z - call me, bruh". But Tidal is also in the news because fellow rapper Kanye West is reportedly leaving Tidal.

News of JAY-Z and Kanye West's most recent fall out comes days after Hov alluded to problems brewing between the two emcees in his new album 4:44. Tidal, Jay-Z's subscription based music streaming service, apparently owes Kanye $3 million dollars.

Then we learned this morning that West thinks Jay and Tidal owes him $3 million, and it looks like the parties are going to go to court to hash it all. The source claims he wants to avoid what happened with Tidal, which had a limited window on Tidal before being available on its competitors, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Play.

He rapped: "You dropped outta school, you lost your principles/ I know people backstab you, I feel bad too/ But this fuck everybody attitude ain't natural". The album contains a song titled, "Kill Jay-Z", in which the former friend and "Watch The Throne" collaborator featured a verse dissing West.
