With this ability, he leaps into the air and then smashes into his target location, dealing significant area of effect damage.

Ever since Overwatch's launch a year ago, there have been murmurs that Blizzard would add a new character called Doomfist to its roster of playable heroes.

Rocket Punch: After charging up, Doomfist lunges forward and knocks an enemy back, dealing additional damage if they impact a wall.

The Best Defense: Doomfist generates temporary personal shields when he deals ability damage. Blizzard told Gamespot it was actually Ngaujah, a Broadway actor who also appeared in movies including The Signal (2007), Stomp the Yard (2007), and Money Monster (2016).

After his first "appearance" in the form of his gauntlet, an attack on the Numbani airport leading to the creation of Orisa and the news about his breakout by Reaper, Doomfist has finally been officially announced by Blizzard.

It was rumoured that he would be voiced by Terry Crews, as he had been spotted visiting Blizzard and had expressed a desire to play the part, but he was not cast. He is brutal but lacks the speed of other fast characters.

There is now no word on the arrival of Doomfist on ordinary servers or consoles, but if previous releases are anything to go by then it shouldn't be too long of a wait. But you may notice something a little different than what you were expecting if you listen to Doomfist's speaking voice.
