Weather Authority Forecast for Sunday Evening, July 30th

Cooler temperatures will return in the mid 70s later in the week. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.

It gets a bit warmer tomorrow and unfortunately a bit more humid. Skies remain clear into tonight and temperatures drop into mid-60s.

This slow warm up will continue throughout the middle of the week, but high will only reach into mid-80s at the warmest point. Friday starts with mostly sunny skies and then clouds increase late in the day. We think a sea breeze will keep shoreline highs in the middle 80s. Overall, mostly dry weather is in the forecast until a midweek storm system tries to change that.

A cold front will bring the chance for scattered storms Friday evening. Still a lovely summer day to begin the month of August, with high temperatures warming a few degrees into the upper 80s (away from the ocean). Highs will be in the upper 80s Wednesday to low-mid 80s Thursday.

By Saturday, the cold front will be crossing CT, meaning there will be even more clouds, showers and thunderstorms across the state. The weather will stay mostly sunny with relatively low humidity Monday.
