Seattle Seahawks ink SS Kam Chancellor to $36M extension

Less than 24 hours after he took to the podium to discuss his ongoing contract negotiations, strong safety Kam Chancellor has agreed to an extension with the Seattle Seahawks. That last piece may be resolved sooner rather than later.

"I would love to retire here", Chancellor stated prior to finalizing his new deal.
A 5th round pick by the Seahawks in 2010, Chancellor started his career playing on special teams while serving as a backup to Lawyer Milloy.
With this deal, the Seahawks now have committed $123 million in guaranteed money to their secondary.
