Chelsea launch £25 million swoop for Arsenal wing-back

Chelsea have tabled a bid worth £25million for Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to a report.

The 23-year-old has just one year left on his contract and has been linked with Liverpool as well as the Blues.

Although the report says Arsenal have rebuffed Chelsea's initial overtures they now have a bid to consider and it is unclear whether they will decide to sell Oxlade-Chamberlain or not.

Antonio Conte is desperate for reinforcements, and has grown increasingly frustrated at the lack of transfer activity at the club, and sees Oxlade-Chamberlain as a player who can give Chelsea a really good option at wing-back.
