Taylor Swift expected to release new music this week

Swift has been rumored to be working on a new album for a while, and multiple sources confirmed to Variety that Swift would release new music on Friday.

The graphomaniacal cover art, revealed today, reads as a not-so-subtle allusion to the controversies and mini-backlashes Swift has had since the release of 1989. On November 10, fans around the world will bear witness to Swift's next incarnation.

It is rumoured that new music from Taylor will be dropping this Friday.

She is set to unveil a new single from the album Thursday night. After all, she released the first of the Instagram videos, depicting a snake tail, on the most holy of days: during the solar eclipse, just before it reached totality.

Minutes later, Swift dropped what looks to be some artwork for the album, which is titled Reputation.

Confrontation with North Korea not imminent
Asked if Americans should worry about rising tensions with North Korea, Mike Pompeo replied that "nothing is imminent". Pompeo praised the efforts of U.S.

What is clear, however, is that Swift is ready to reclaim and reinvent her image with her upcoming record.

The album's success gave way to a monster tour and an arguably bigger interest in Swift herself, especially her romantic life and alleged feuds with other celebrities.

Swift's most recent album, 1989, sold 1.2 million copies within its first week and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200. "It goes from very soft, to hard, to soft again", a source told the magazine. The second, which could be new album artwork, shows Swift in a sweater and chain choker, her face partially overlayed with newspaper print.

In the aftermath of the announcement, fans and commenters haven't ceased speculating about what the new album might bring. "She's just excited to get back out there". "Reputation", though, will have to wait for the following year, because it will be released outside of the October-to-September eligibility range.
