A person has been taken into custody in connection to reports of an active shooter at New Hampshire's largest hospital.

In a statement a hospital spokesman, Mike Barwell, said, "Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon is now locked down following reports of an active shooter in the hospital".

Heavily-armed police forces are on the scene at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Soon after, New Hampshire Attorney General's Office Tweeted that there was only one person of interest and that person is now in custody. Witnesses said via Twitter they had heard gunshots in the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU) ward.
