'House of Cards' to resume production, without Spacey

The eight-episode final season is set to "bring closure of the show for fans", according to Netflix president Ted Sarandos, who spoke about the show at USB's Global Media and Communications Conference in NY.

The final season, which will have eight episodes, was planned before the bombshell allegations against Spacey. Many fans suggested moving forward with Robin Wright and that seems to be exactly the direction Netflix has made a decision to take.

House of Cards, the first major original show to pop for Netflix, is produced by Media Rights Capital (MRC) and is shot in Baltimore.

Filming on the sixth and final season of the political drama was halted last month (Nov17) following claims Spacey had sexually harassed several co-workers on the show.

Production will resume in early 2018, the source said.

She's very excited about the baby, though. " Kylie isn't going to publicly address her pregnancy until she gives birth". What's more , according to a source, Kylie won't be engaging in any baby talk until the reported baby is actually here.

Sarandos said the lifting of the Cards suspension will not only bring closure but return 370 people who work for the show to their jobs.

There's no word on when Season 6 will premiere but given the delay, it might not be complete until Fall or Winter 2018.

That left "House of Cards" writers with a problem: They has to rewrite a show that already had been finalized and completed production on two episodes. And while there were rumors about a possible spin-off featuring none other than Robin Wright, it now looks like she'll be leading the final episodes of the Netflix hit - without Spacey.

Sarandos spoke about "House of Cards" at USB's Global Media and Communications Conference in NY.

After the first allegation against him surfaced, Spacey issued a widely criticized statement in which he said he did not remember the incident but was sorry for the feelings the actor described, and then pivoted to come out publicly as gay.
