Young man meets 81-year-old he befriended on 'Words with Friends'

A young man and an elderly woman who "randomly" met playing Words With Friends together online past year and went on to share 324 games have now met up in person.

Soon, the 22-year-old from Harlem, New York and the 86-year-old, who lives in a retirement community in Florida, were firm friends.

Spencer was quick to shut down any rumours that Roz may be in the lead when it comes to their Words with Friends battles.

Words With Friends also called the story "amazing" on Twitter. He tweeted about meeting Roz for the first time, saying, "She actually ended up becoming a good friend of mine". Butler decided to make the trip happen after hearing Sleyon tell her daughter about his virtual friendship.

The meeting became possible thanks to Amy Butler, a pastor at the Riverside Church in Manhattan. Their first meet and greet was as sweet as you can imagine.
