Prince Harry jokes around with Barack Obama in radio interview

BARACK Obama jokes "Do I have to put on a British accent?" as he is interviewed by Prince Harry for a special Christmas radio broadcast.

The BBC released a teaser of the interview, which was recorded in Toronto in September during the Invictus Games, in which the pair joke together before beginning their chat.

"Do I have to speak faster because I'm a slow speaker?"

And Harry told him: "You're excited about this - I'm nervous".

Obama replies: "I'll interview you if you want".

The episode will be edited down, but the full and complete interview should likely air on the upcoming podcast. Harry revealed he much preferred to be the one asking the questions and warned Barack if he paused too long in between answers he would get "the face".

A video clip showing friendly banter between Prince Harry and President Obama is getting a lot of online love and attention.

"I don't want to see that face", Obama says.

The palace said the conversation featured Mr Obama discussing his plans to cultivate the next generation of leadership through the Obama Foundation.

Since Obama left office, he has met Harry on several occasions, including a stop-over to Kensington Palace in May during his tour of Europe, and during Obama's Foundation Summit in October.

At this year's Invictus Games, Obama reportedly quizzed Harry on his romance with Meghan Markle as they watched the wheelchair basketball.

Last year, Obama and his wife, Michelle, challenged Harry and his British competitors "to bring it" ahead of the event in Orlando.
