Lady Gaga confirms Las Vegas residency: This is 'a new era'

"The rumors are true!" she captioned an Instagram photo of her signing what looks like a contract in front of a Park Theater step and repeat.

Lady Gaga performs during her "Joanne" world tour at Rogers Arena on August 1 in Vancouver, Canada.

"It's been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I'm so overjoyed!" the singer wrote on Twitter following the announcement.

Gaga is joining such icons as Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears in performing in Vegas this year. The shows are expected to kick off in late 2018.

Performance and ticket sale dates are to be announced in the next couple months, E! reported via press release. I will have my own residency at MGM's Park Theater.

"I am SO HAPPY and excited beyond belief to make my own brand new show here with my new Vegas family", the singer added on Instagram.

Discussing her illness, Gaga said: "I have always been honest about my physical and mental health struggles".
