Apple Plans To Cancel Its Flagship iPhone X By Summer

UBS Group reaffirmed a "buy" rating and set a $180.00 price target on shares of Apple in a research report on Tuesday, September 12th.

Now this sounds rather dramatic, but it isn't as bad as you might think.

In a previous note to investors, Kuo said iPhone X features like Face ID will make their way to other versions of the iPhone, along with a new iPhone X Plus version created to alleviate consumer concerns regarding usable screen space. Now 80.5% is a pretty high number, but it seems that this represents an "all-time low" due to the fact that the company's survey for the previous quarter was at 87.6%.

Well, after a long hype of Apple's legendary iPhone X, it was released and made available to consumers in November 2017. According to data tabulated by CIRP, the iPhone X accounted for approximately 20% of all iPhone sales last quarter. But the device, which went on sale only in November, has had sluggish sales. Now, with the first generation of iPhone X done, that traditional movement isn't likely.

More action on the iPhone X would eat up sales of the newest models in 2018, said Kuo.

At 6-foot-3-inches, the president's recorded weight of 239 pounds is just 1 pound shy of clinically obese for his height. But the 71-year-old president performed "exceedingly well" on the test, Jackson said, receiving a ideal score.

Ming Chi Kuo's note further quoted that Apple will ship 18 million iPhone X devices in the first calendar quarter of 2018.

A report today suggests iPhone X won't be moved to a second-tier spot in Apple's iPhone collection: not now, not ever.

iPhone X: There's a rumor going around recently that claims Apple is planning to discontinue the iPhone X in 2018, reports MacRumors.

"iPhone X would hurt product brand value and lineup of 2H18 new models if it continues to sell at a lower price after 2H18 new models launch", Kuo said. Their response to the product has been negative; the consumer base in the Asian superpower usually describes the X model as "removing too much usable space". The TrueDepth camera system that enables Face ID and other features that leverage 3D sensing is not a cost driver, estimated at just $4 to $5 per unit, making it an easy inclusion as Apple expands use of the technology. That's something we've seen with the iPhone 7, for example, when the iPhone 8 was released.

The year 2018 may not bring good news for iPhone users as United States tech giant Apple will not retain the iPhone X this year.
