Winter weather advisory Tuesday in northern Oklahoma

The National Weather Service predicts two rounds of freezing rain will affect much of Iowa. Tuesday Night into Wednesday several locations may experience minor flooding with flood waters capable of causing small streams, creeks, canals, and ditches to become swollen and overflow in a few places, but with little to no property damage. We will have periods of light mixed snow, sleet, freezing drizzle and rain. Please continue to be careful out traveling and walking around as untreated surfaces will be quite slippery at times. This may lead to ice covered trees and branches, as well as ice covered power lines, to break and fall. Highs could reach the lower 30s to mid-40s and overnight lows will dip into the mid-20s.

Additional Strong Storm Threats: Isolated stronger storms may produce up to 1 inch sized hail and wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour.

Daytime temperatures rise to a high of plus 3C and the UV index is 3 or moderate.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 7. Right now accumulations look fairly small. Temperatures ahead of the front will be in the upper 50s before they start dropping throughout the day into the lower 40s by Monday afternoon.
