In her new book, Barbra Streisand has written about another love she has, the one for art, landscaping, design and furniture. Nonetheless, in the book, the star who sold more than 71 million copies of albums also reveals how her passion for design, together with her career, have been an influence for her choices with regard to the design of her home in Malibu, California.

“I think it makes it more interesting,” she told Reuters about the book’s first-person style. “People have been asking me to write my autobiography, but I don’t want to go there yet and be that personal. I guess it crept into my own writing. This is how I see the world now, and what is beautiful to me,” stated Barbra Streisand with regard to her first book.

Her passion for art determined Streisand to give the book and even more personal touch, as she took most of the picture in “My Passion for Design” herself.
